Verum Terra Geoscience Inc. has deployed a new fleet of heavy mining equipment to its operations in Eastern Samar, marking one of the company’s largest capital investments in recent years. The new equipment, valued at over ₱85 million, is designed to significantly enhance the efficiency and safety of mining and exploration activities across the project area.
The new fleet includes a range of modern, fuel-efficient machines sourced from leading global manufacturers:
The new equipment will enable the company to accelerate its exploration drilling program, improve material handling efficiency, and reduce operational downtime associated with aging machinery. The GPS-guided excavation systems, in particular, will allow for more precise and environmentally responsible earthmoving activities.
The Operations Manager noted: “This investment reflects our confidence in the long-term potential of our Eastern Samar project. Modern equipment not only improves productivity but also enhances safety and reduces our environmental footprint through better fuel efficiency and precision operation.”
The deployment of the new fleet has also created additional employment opportunities for local residents. The company has hired and trained 25 new heavy equipment operators and maintenance technicians from host and neighboring communities, providing them with industry-recognized certifications and skills training that will serve them throughout their careers.
